  now after 21 years in professional psychology/humanities, i love talking to brothers that adopt a slow pace in speech, and low tone of voice when they deal with the rank and cold un-associated ones.

  my mirroring their present state in personality seems to psych them out for a bit.

  i then tap into my fast injection of logical sense, that throws them off.

  Remember that they are battling with narcissism and may have the Napoleon little man syndrome, lol. Yes contractions can post up a speed bump. If you correct their negative speech, you can proceed to make them feel like an A##. For example if someone says: "Wouldn't you love to pet a lion?" Correct it by restating while answering? "Would you like to pet a lion?" Then answer with your thought. They tend to start many sentences with a negative connotation. Cheers

  Now after 21 years in professional psychology/humanities, I love talking to brothers that adopt a slow pace in speech, and low tone of voice when they deal with the rank and cold un-associated ones. My mirroring their present state in personality seems to psych them out for a bit. I then tap into my fast injection of logical sense, that throws them off. They soon lose patience at my versatile psychological sense then dissipate and move to the next revisit. LOL, They leave me alone!!! Mimic their talk and cadence in speech, they will leave you alone.

  i remember seeing the ex-jws parading around outside the assembly like lepers holding placards of hate.

  we were the righteous and enlightened ones... and they were lost in outer darkness.

  just dont look at them was the standard response to their unwelcome presence..

  I am still angry. My mother did not let me take my SAT's because this system was ending soon. So she made me work a full time after high school and go part time to community college for a 2 year degree. I knew I had a great mind, and became very frustrated with having to promote myself as a JW faithful drone. I soon thereafter got married and graduated with a full 4 year degree. I wish I was allowed to apply for scholarships. I know I would've done great sooner in my life. Now I see all the unsatisfied witnesses, pretending and feeding their wealthy appearance. How the hell do many of these witnesses drive brand new cars, and trade in every time a new model comes out? Even though I have good employment, I am happy with my crappy car plus my AC just went out. I leave the nice vehicle to my wife, she deserves it.

  Suicide Prevention Counseling

  in the 1980's when i was an elder, i don't remember the society providing any guidance to elders on suicide prevention counseling.

  i realize much has changed since then.

  can any current/recent elders update me on what the current position of the local elders would be if approached by someone in the congregation contemplating suicide and seeking help?.

  I am looking for charts or any statistical study done to prove that suicide within the JW's is high comparatively to other groups. Has anyone done this statistical analysis? It would really come in handy during conversation. Does anyone have a Megastat for this? Thx

  One of my childhood friends became very suicidal after he got DF'd. I kept on talking to him. I was always getting pulled into the back room (cuartito) to tell me to stop talking to DF'd folks. I was adamant in treating all people fairly. I don't know how I didn't get in more trouble for contesting sh#t, but hell, I always pissed them elders off anyway. I hate self-righteous crap.......

  Many of those ugly a## Bastards think they are good looking too. I would see them looking at my wife and other young sisters. I'd get a kick out of seeing their desperate ploys. I knew a few slow (Sped) sisters that would actually welcome the elders hitting on them. Just sayin......LOL!!

  I married an elders great looking daughter, and am happy we ended up fading. If not, the elder pressures would've made me look like crap. LOL!!!
